Bring along your sense of humor. Also, don't forget to dump out the water from your canoe before paddling through the lake- and then paddle like heck to get to the other side!
I love those old canoes - they're all part of the experience!! If you're looking for a high-quality canoe, don't bother. But, if you're up for some laughs, spills, and adventures, this place is the best. I have very fond memories of Ding's Dock, and I can't wait til my kiddos are old enough to go on the Crystal River with us.
We've been visiting Ding's Dock for almost 40 years. While they have made many 'updates' over the years it's still retains much of it's rustic charm. The 'snack shack' trailer at the end of the ride is a much welcomed addition. 2nd only to the porta-potty. LOL
The worst experience. Staff was very unprofessional and somewhat rude. Ripped us off when we returned the pontoon boat. They kept our deposit and said we damaged a prop. Pontoon was a piece of garbage Owner threatened to "take me to the ground " when I questioned him on the prop. Please explore your options if you intend to rent anything from this place
Extremely disappointed with Dings Boat Dock. We've been coming here every single year for over thirty years as a family; it's a tradition. We've always loved dings dock. Today, we drove several hours to visit Dings Dock only to find out they no longer offer canoe rides. We were very disappointed that they no longer offered one of our family's favorite activities, other than a few days a week. We were hoping to at the very least get some kind of discount for our only option being tubing. We were met with rude employees, including a young lady named Avery, and an angry and disrespectful boss. It's sad to think that after all of these years of loyalty, we've been left with nothing but "Apparently you were the only ones who did the canoe trip". Family tradition of 39 years has ended today, and we won't be back.
Great space for live bands. some more seating would be great..... And drop the cover charge... Have been there many times fir free but last night was a $10 cover to get in. First time I had to pay one. I hope this was the exception and not the rule!!!
